List Of Best Phone Under 10000 Rs. India

[table id=75 /]

1. Redmi Note 4:

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

The Redmi Note 4 is the updated version of the Redmi Note 3. Xiaomi launched the smartphone in January 2017.

Redmi Note 4 is the India No.1 best selling phone.

This phone comes up with 3 variants as follows 2GB+32GB, 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB.

Display:

The display in the phone is a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS LCD display. It has a 1080p resolution. And the display quality is pretty good. In fact, it is better than its predecessor the Redmi Note 3. Color saturation, sharpness, picture quality, everything is up to the mark.

However, the auto brightness sensor is not well calibrated. You will have to manually set it quite often.

Processor:

Xiaomi has given the Snapdragon 625 Octa-core A53 processor in the Redmi Note 4. I would say it is a pretty good processor. There is no lag in the day to day usage. In addition, you will see no lag even with heavy multitasking.

It runs on the MIUI 8. Now, MIUI is quite heavy. So, I would suggest buying at least the 3 GB variant which I am talking about here. Do not buy the 2 GB variant.

Camera:

Coming to the camera, it has an improved camera than the Redmi Note 3. The phone has a 13 MP rear-facing camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. Both the cameras take some good pictures in outdoor lighting conditions. However, in artificial lighting and low-lighting conditions, the camera performance tend to fall. The front-facing camera is worse than the rear-facing camera in this aspect.

Video recording is also just about average. The sound output in the videos is very poor. Overall, it is good, but if we compare it to the Honor 6X  or the Moto G4 Plus, it falls short.

So, this phone is not for you, if you are just looking for a mobile phone under Rs.10000 with a good camera.

Operating System (OS):

For the operating system, it is running on the Android Marshmellow operating system. It is surprising as many phones in the price category are giving Android Nougat. But, Xiaomi has promised that it will get the Nougat update. W

Build Quality:

Now, the build quality in this phone great. It looks almost similar to the Redmi Note 3 (Not same, but similar). However, the in-hand feel is better on this phone. It has a metal back. It looks premium in hand. In fact, it has one of the best build quality in the price range. In build quality, it is close to the Redmi Mi Max.

There is a minor downside though. As the back is made of aluminum, it is quite slippery. So, I would suggest to use it with a case.

Battery:

The Redmi Note 4 has a 4100 mAh battery. It is sealed inside the phone. The battery performance is simply amazing. It is almost 20 percent better than the Note 3. With basic usage, it will easily last you about one and a half to two days. Even if you are a heavy user, you can use it for a typical working day.

Gaming Performance:

Now, let’s talk about the gaming performance of Redmi Note 4. Furthermore, the phone has an Adreno 506 GPU unit. The gaming performance is nice. It takes a bit time to load the games. But the overall performance is good. I tested it with some heavy games such as Mortal Kombat X, Noah 3, and Asphalt 8. It ran Noah 3 very well. During Mortal Kombat X, the set gets a little warm but runs the game well. Just in Asphalt 8, there are some minor frame drops. However, it does not heat up like the CoolPad Cool 1. So, overall, it is good for gaming.

Pros
  • Amazing build quality
  • Ir blaster to control devices such as TVs and ACs
  • 2.5 D curved Glass, was not present in the Redmi Note 3
  • Excellent Battery life
Cons
  • No quick charging support
  • No NFC support
  • Auto Brightness sensor is faulty

Conclusion:

The Redmi Note 4 is a very good option for you if you want a phone with good performance and camera is not your primary choice. It has made some improvements from the Note 3. Also, if you like gaming, it will serve you well. However, as mentioned earlier, do not buy the 2 GB variant as it can lag due to the heavy UI.

2. Motorola Moto E4 Plus:

Motorola Moto E4 Plus

Motorola has given us many nice smartphones in the recent days. They launched their Moto E4 Plus in June 2017.

Display:

It has a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS LCD display. It has a 720p resolution. The screen quality is good enough. Pictures look nice on the screen. Viewing angles and color saturation is also decent. However, I feel they could have given the 1080p screen in it. Many phones in same price point such as the Redmi Note 4 has the 1080p screen which is obviously better.

Processor:

The Moto E4 Plus has the MediaTek MT6737 Quad-core processor. Now, I am disappointed with Motorola’s choice of processor. The MediaTek processor is not a good one, to say the least. Although it does a decent job. It lags only under very heavy usage. Still, I do not get why Motorola has not given a Snapdragon processor which is far better than the MediaTek processors.

Camera:

Furthermore, there is a 13 MP rear-facing camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera on the phone. The camera is just about average. Thy take quality snaps in good lighting conditions. But there is a visible shutter lag. Also, the aperture is f/2.0 which is quite high. As a result, in artificial and low-light conditions, the camera struggles.

Besides, in video recording, you cannot shoot even a 1080p video. It is just up to 720p. That is quite a disadvantage.

Operating System (OS):

The phone runs on Android Nougat operating system. It is a very good operating system that does the job. Also, the UI is similar to the stock Android. It makes your user experience even better. I have no complaints regarding the operating system.

Build Quality:

The build quality is quite good on the phone. It has a metal back. The back looks similar to the Moto G5 Plus. It feels and looks really good in the hand. Also, despite the large battery, the phone is not heavy. Of course, it is not the lightest one available, but it does not feel like a brick either.

Battery:

The best part about the Moto E4 Plus is its battery life. It has a 5000 mAh battery. It will easily last you about two days with casual and average usage. Even with heavy usage, you can get one and half day’s worth battery life. Therefore, the battery is the strongest point about this phone.

Gaming Performance:

Mali-T720 is the GPU unit in the phone. It performs decent enough in playing the heavy games. I tested it with Noah 3, Dead Trigger 2, Mortal Kombat 5, and Asphalt 8. With Asphalt 8 and Noah 3, I did notice some lag. The phone did not heat up very much though. All in all, it does a decent job, but there are better phones for gaming.

Pros
  • Superb battery life lasts up to two days with heavy usage
  • Fast Fingerprint sensor
  • Quick charging support
  • Dolby sound output
Cons
  • Average camera
  • Poor processor
  • Video recording only up to 720p

Conclusion:

If battery life is your top priority, you can go with the Motorola Moto E4 Plus. The general performance is also good on the phone. To make it short, it is a decent buy in the price point.

3. Lenovo K6 Power:

Lenovo K6 Power

Lenovo came up with their smartphone the Lenovo K6 Power in September 2016. The phone supports VoLTE. So, you can use the Reliance Jio SIM in it.

Display:

The phone has a 5 inch Full HD IPS display. It has a 1080p resolution as well. The screen quality is good enough. It also has an Auto Brightness sensor. The sensor performs quite well. This was not the case in earlier Lenovo smartphones. So, Lenovo has definitely improved on this aspect.

On the downside, the auto brightness sensor does not work very well in direct sunlight. You will have to set it on your own quite often.

Processor:

It has the Snapdragon 430 processor. The processor does its job well. There is no lag even with heavy multitasking. Also, the phone does not heat up on heavy usage as well. It runs on the Vibe UI which is Lenovo’s default. They have made the UI lighter. That is another good aspect to consider. I did not find any major issues with the processor on this phone.

Camera:

The K6 Power has a 13 MP rear-facing camera, along with an 8 MP front-facing camera. The They take good pictures in outdoor lighting conditions. In fact, the rear-facing camera is better than the Redmi 3S Prime. However, in artificial lighting conditions and in low-lighting conditions, their performance is not up to the mark. There is no laser autofocus as well. As a result, the focusing is a bit slow.

Also, there is no optical image stabilization. Therefore, the videos appear shaky if you move around even a little while shooting them.

Operating System (OS):

It runs on the Android Marshmellow. Although Marshmellow is a nice operating system the newer version Nougat is out already. So, they could have opted for it. Also, software updates are slow on Lenovo phones. As a result, there is no guarantee when it will get a Nougat update.

Build Quality:

The build quality is decent enough on the phone. It has a metallic finish back. The phone is sturdy and durable. But, it is quite heavy for a 5-inch screen size. Also, the back buttons are not backlit. Overall, it is not the best build quality but it is not bad either.

Battery:

Battery life is very good on this device. The phone has a 4000 mAh battery. It will last you about one and a half days with average usage. Even with a heavy usage, you can easily get a day’s worth battery life. The battery is one of the best things in the Lenovo K6 Power.

Gaming Performance:

Lenovo has given an Adreno 505 GPU unit inside the phone. I have to say the gaming performance is just amazing. It even runs heavy games such as Asphalt 8 without any lag. In addition, although it gets a bit warm, it does not overheat even with extended gaming. Other games such as Mortal Kombat 5 and Noah 3 also play well on the phone. In a word, it is a very good phone for all you serious gamers out there.

Pros
  • Dolby Atmos support
  • Fingerprint scanner very good
  •  Excellent Battery lasts up to one and a half days with average usage
  • Brilliant gaming performance runs even Asphalt 8 without any lag
Cons
  • Long charging time, takes about three hours
  • Slow software updates on Lenovo phones
  • No IR Blaster

Conclusion:

In terms of screen quality, camera, and sound, the Lenovo K6 Power is better than the Redmi 3S Prime. This phone is meant for someone who loves to play games and wants a longer battery life.

4. Lenovo K8 Plus:

Lenovo K8 Plus

Lenovo has come with their updated version of the K8 Note, the Lenovo K8 Plus. The phone was launched in September 2017.

Display:

It has a 5.2 Full HD IPS display. There is also 2.5D Glass on the screen. So, you do not feel resistance around the edges. The display quality is pretty good. Picture quality, color saturation, contrast, it scores in every aspect. I am satisfied with the display on the phone.

Processor:

Lenovo has opted for the MediaTek MT6757 Helio P25 Octa-core processor. This seemed a strange choice to me. Many phones in the same price range such as the Redmi Note 4 give Snapdragon processors that are far better than the MediaTek ones. MediaTek is a below average processor. It does handle the general usage but lags on heavy multitasking.

Camera:

For the camera, there are dual rear-facing cameras, one is 13 MP and the other is a 5 MP shooter. It also has an 8 MP front-facing camera. They click nice snaps in outdoor lighting conditions. However, they have a f/2 aperture. As a result, the camera struggles in artificial light and low-light conditions. The front-facing camera is good. But if you compare it to the K8 Note, it falls short.

Video recording is restricted up to 1080p. There is no 4K video recording support. The bottom line is, the camera is just about average. The Honor 6X has a far superior camera than this one.

Operating System (OS):

The Lenovo K8 Plus has the Android Nougat operating system. The operating system is a very good one. It makes the user experience better. Lenovo has also promised the Android Oreo update in this one. However, software updates are slow on Lenovo phones, as mentioned in the previous section. So, when it will get that update is a question.

The Vibe UI is almost similar to the stock Android UI in this one. That adds to its benefits.

Build Quality:

It has a fair enough build quality. The back is metal that looks good in the hands. Also, there is Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the screen. That adds to its durability and sturdiness.

Battery:

The phone has a 4000 mAh battery. The battery life is pretty good. It lasts up to one and a half days with casual usage. With heavy usage, the phone lasts a typical working day. So, I do not have many complaints about the battery life.

Gaming Performance:

Lenovo has given a Mali-T880 MP2 GPU unit which is an average one. It handles some of the games quite well. However, with very heavy games such as Asphalt 8 and Noah 3, there are some visible lagging on the phone. Overall, the gaming performance is just average.

Pros
  • Very good battery lasts up to one and a half days with casual usage
  • Dolby sound
  • 2.5D Glass on the screen
Cons
  • Poor processor
  • Average camera
  • Mediocre GPU unit

Conclusion:

If you want a smartphone for basic usage with heavy battery life, you can go for the Lenovo K8 Plus.

5. Infinix Note 4:

Infinix Note 4

The Infinix Note 4 is another good choice for smartphones under the Rs. 10K price range. It was launched in August 2017.

Display:

It has a 5.7 inch Full HD IPS display. The viewing angles are nice on the phone. In addition, picture quality, sharpness, and brightness are also very good. You would not face any problem seeing the screen even in direct sunlight.

Processor:

The phone runs on the MediaTek MT6753 Octa-core processor. The processor quality is not good. MediaTek processors are not up to the mark in general. You will get many phones in the same price range such as the Redmi Note 4 and Lenovo K6 Power with Snapdragon processors. The phone lags a bit with heavy multitasking. However, it handles the day to day work pretty easily.

Camera:

It has a 13 MP rear-facing camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera. Pictures taken in outdoor lighting come out to be pretty good. However, the camera is not up to the mark in low-light conditions. In fact, the Redmi Note 4 has a better rear-facing camera.

On the other hand, the front-facing camera is quite good and beats the Redmi Note 4. However, there is no optical image stabilization. As a result, the resulting videos are shaky in case you walk or move while shooing them.

Operating System (OS):

The operating system on this phone is Android Nougat. It is the new version of Android and is very efficient. You would get a better user experience with this operating system.

Build Quality:

The Infinix Note 4 has quite a good build quality. The phone has a metal back. It looks and feels quite premium on hand with a lesser price tag. On the downside, the phone is on the heavier side. The bulkiness can be quite annoying to you.

Battery:

The phone has a 4300 mAh battery. I would have to say the battery backup is really good. With casual usage, it would last you up to one and a half days. Even if you are a heavy user, you can get a day’s worth battery life on this phone. So, I do not have any complaints with the battery.

Gaming Performance:

It has a Mali-T880 MP2 GPU unit. The GPU unit is quite average. It does not overheat in extended gaming. However, it lags quite often with heavy games such as Asphalt 8 and Asphalt Extreme.

Pros
  • Very good battery life lasts up to one and a half days with basic usage
  • Build quality is quite good
  • Fast fingerprint sensor
Cons
  • Bad low-light photography
  • Mediocre processor
  • Audio via headphone jack is not good

Conclusion:

The Infinx Note 4 is a nice choice under the Rs. 10K price segment. You would get a good battery life and also nice build quality. Overall, it is a value for money product in itself.

6. Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro:

Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro

Samsung launched their Galaxy J2 Pro in July 2016. It has a Turbo Speed technology that loads apps 40% faster.

Display:

It has a 5 inch Super AMOLED display. Getting Super AMOLED screen in this price range sure is a huge plus. However, the resolution is just 720p. I would have loved to see a 1080p screen in this device. But overall, the screen quality is good enough. The viewing angles are quite nice. But there is no Auto Brightness sensor. That is disappointing in my opinion.

Processor:

Samsung has opted for the Snapdragon SC8830 Quad-core processor. I have to say that the processor is poor. There is visible lag even on the basic UI. And it lags quite often when you are multitasking.

Camera:

There are an 8 MP rear-facing camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera present on the phone. The camera is below average in my opinion. Pictures appear very grainy and noisy, especially in low-light conditions and artificial light conditions. There is no optical image stabilization either. So, videos will appear very shaky if you move even a bit.

Operating System (OS):

Android Marshmellow is the operating system on the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro. This is a good operating system. But again, when you can get the newer version Android Nougat in the same price range, it feels a bit on the downside.

Build Quality:

The build quality is very poor on the phone. It has a plastic back. I just do not understand what Samsung has done with this phone. Every other phone in the list gives metal finishes on the back except this one. It looks cheap, feels slippery, and is not durable as well. I am very disappointed with the build quality.

Battery:

It has a 2600 mAh battery. Even the battery performance is poor. It lasts just about eight hours on average usage. So, you will have to charge it every day to keep it running.

Gaming Performance:

The gaming performance on the phone is horrible. Forget about the heavy games. It can not even run small games such as Unkilled. The device shows major lags on gaming.

Pros
  • Super AMOLED display
  • Turbo Speed Technology
Cons
  • Bad processor
  • Poor build quality
  • Horrible gaming performance
  • Battery life not up to the mark

Conclusion:

I would not recommend the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro to anyone. Only if you are a big Samsung lover, you can give it a try. Even then, I would suggest buying other Samsung phones.

7. Samsung On7:

Samsung On7

The Samsung ON7 was launched in October 2015. It comes with 8 GB of internal storage.

Display:

It has a 5.5 inch HD TFT screen. The screen quality is good enough. Viewing angles also add to its benefits. However, there is no Auto Brightness sensor. So, it does not perform well under direct sunlight. Also, the capacitative buttons are not backlit.

Processor:

Samsung has given the Snapdragon 410 processor on the smartphone. The processor handles the day to day tasks with utmost ease. Also, it does not lag under multitasking. So, you would not find me complaining about the processor.

Camera:

There are a 13 MP rear-facing camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. The cameras are decent. They take good pictures in outdoor lighting conditions. However, even then the pictures contain slight noise in them. When it comes to artificial light and low-light conditions, the camera does not live up to its expectations. Although it has a Pro Mode that makes things just a little bit better.

There is no optical image stabilization as well. As a result, the videos often appear shaky with just a little bit movement.

Operating System (OS):

It runs on the Android Lollipop operating system. This is very surprising from Samsung. Yes, the Android Lollipop is a good operating system. But come on, many phones in the price range are giving Nougat, and promising the Oreo update as well. At such a scenario, a phone with Android Lollipop does not hold its ground with firmness.

Build Quality:

Regarding build quality, Samsung has done a good job. The phone has similar looks to that of the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note Series phones. It has a fake leather back. Although it does not look and feel premium, it does not look bad either. In addition, the phone is not on the heavier side as well.

Battery:

The phone has a 3000 mAh battery. The battery performance is decent I would say. It lasts up to 10 hours with heavy usage. You will get a few extra hours with casual and average usage.

Gaming Performance:

The Adreno 306 is the GPU unit in this one. It does not overheat on extended gaming. However, in Asphalt 8 and Mortal Kombat X, the phone lags quite a bit. So overall, the gaming performance is good but not great. Lenovo K6 Power in the same price range is way ahead in gaming from this one.

Pros
  • Focus in fast on camera
  • FM radio support
  • Good build quality
Cons
  • Bad low-light and artificial light photography
  • No quick charging support
  • No auto brightness sensor

Conclusion:

The Samsung Galaxy On7 is a smartphone for those people who want a phone for basic usage. Also, if you want the Samsung brand name, you can go with this device.

8. Yu Yureka Black:

Yu Yureka Black

Micromax launched the Yu Yureka Black in June 2017. It is a rebranded product from the CoolPad F2.

Display:

The phone has a 5 inch IPS screen. But, the resolution is only 720p. However, the display quality is good enough. Picture quality, sharpness, viewing angles are all decent. You would not find me complaining about the display on this phone.

Processor:

Micromax has opted for the Snapdragon 430 Octa-core processor. The processor handles the day to day tasks fairly well. It can also handle multitasking. But, the phone lags just a bit when you put it to heavy usage.

Camera:

It has a 13 MP rear-facing camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera on it. Both the cameras do well under good lighting conditions. However, in low-light and artificial lights it tends to decrease.

In video recording, the front-facing camera does the job better. In the rear-facing camera, you can record videos up to 1080p. But, at the 1080p, the videos turn out to be very poor.

Operating System (OS):

The operating system on the phone is Android KitKat. This is just not acceptable. Yes, it is good enough. But when many phones are even giving Nougat, why should anyone care about KitKat? Although Micromax has promised Lollipop update on this one. But even with the update, the phone falls short on this aspect.

Build Quality:

The build quality on the Yu Yureka Black is decent I would say. It has a metal back. It looks quite good in the hand. There is Gorilla Glass protection on the screen. However, the phone feels fragile according to my opinion.

Battery:

It has a 3000 mAh battery. The battery is just above average. It would last you about a typical working day with casual to average usage. With heavy usage, it would last about ten hours.

Gaming Performance:

The gaming performance is not up to the mark on this device. It does not lag on heavy gaming. But it heats up so much, especially with games like Asphalt 8 and Mortal Kombat X. So, I would not recommend this phone for gaming purposes.

Pros
  • Good processor
  • Nice display
  • Focusing is good
Cons
  • No compass
  • Gets very hot with heavy gaming
  • Proximity sensor is faulty, does not work about 20% times

Conclusion:

The Yu Yureka Black has some pretty good specs. Especially if you consider the price point. It is a pretty good buy for anyone.

9. Micromax Canvas Infinity:

Micromax Canvas Infinity

The Micromax Canvas Infinity was launched in August 2017. It was another addition to their under Rs. 10K price segment.

Display:

The phone has a 5.7 inch Full HD IPS screen. Color saturation, picture quality, sharpness, everything is quite good on the display. The viewing angles are also well enough. On the downside, the brightness is low. As a result, the screen is not clearly visible in direct sunlight.

Processor:

It runs on the Snapdragon 425 Quad-core processor. The processor does the job well. You would not find any issues with the day to day usage. The phone only lags a bit with heavy multitasking.

Camera:

The Micromax Canvas Infinity has a 13 MP rear-facing camera along with a 16 MP front-facing camera. They take pretty good snaps in good lighting conditions. However, in low-light conditions, they tend to struggle due to their high aperture of f/2.

Also, there is no optical image stabilization. So, the videos will appear shaky if you walk or move while shooting them.

Operating System (OS):

Android Nougat is the operating system on the phone. The operating system is very good one to have. It makes your user experience smoother and better.

Build Quality:

The device has a metal back. It is quite sturdy and durable. In addition, it looks and feels good on the hand as well. I did not find any major issues with the build quality of this phone.

Battery:

It has 2980 mAh battery. The battery is about average. It would last you a day with basic usage. If you are a heavy user, you will get about ten hours of battery life. The Redmi Note 4 and the Lenovo K6 Power beat it in this aspect.

Gaming Performance:

The phone has an Adreno 308 GPU unit. The gaming performance is average. It does not heat up on gaming. However, there are some visible lags on heavy gaming, especially with Asphalt 8 and Noah 3. So, if you are a gamer, the Lenovo K6 Power is a far better option for you.

Pros
  • Good front camera
  • Android Nougat operating system
  • Nice display
Cons
  • Speaker is mediocre
  • No gyroscope
  • No quick charging support

Conclusion:

The Micromax Canvas Infinity is for those who want a smartphone for basic usage. Selfie lovers would also benefit from the phone.

Verdict:

Now, to help you even better with your decision here is one final choice. As the final choice, my vote goes to the Redmi Note 4. In this price range, you get some very good features. The phone is great for basic usage. Also, it excels in gaming as well. The build quality and battery life add to its benefits. Of course, there is no perfect phone. This one has its own cons as well. But, in my opinion, you will get well worth your money.

So, these are the best phone under 10000 Rs. as of now. Now you know everything you need to make the right buying decision. I hope the article was thoroughly helpful as well as being enjoyable. Thank you so much for your time and attention!
